A New Chapter Begins: My Journey into Retirement

Today, I officially retired after 29 incredible years. I first worked as a Systems Programmer. Then I became a Manager within the CICS System Engineering team. Reflecting on my career, I am immensely grateful for the experiences, knowledge, and relationships I’ve built along the way.

I had the pleasure to lead an incredibly talented team . It has been incredibly rewarding to witness their growth. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone one of them for their dedication, ingenuity and unrelenting dedication to our members.

As I close this chapter, I find myself pondering what is next and how to move forward. There is much reminiscing. My mind wanders into “what ifs.” Still, I am also eager to embrace retirement. I want to focus on my passion for traveling. I look forward to exploring new places, soaking in different cultures, and tasting diverse cuisines. Whether it’s wandering through historic cities or relaxing on sun-soaked beaches, I’m ready for new adventures and unforgettable experiences.

Here’s to new horizons and a life well-lived!
